Wasn't Morse recruited sometime during the late summer/early fall of '94? Wasn't his first show with Purple during November of '94 in Mexico City, I believe?

That sounds right to me considering Mexico
was the first gigs he did with them.
If I concentrated on collecting bootlegs with him more that all the others I would have the dates frech in my mind. emoticon

Came too my mind because I have to disagree.Last novembers performance was great and they also got great reviews from everywhere.
A whole hall like the Philipshall can't be wrong, can they? Saying that because I've noticed the atmosphere that night and peoples opinions all around me.

This is a very strong point you have,
It's easy to become desencetized when going by so many examples of them.
However when I spoke of the webcasts I really only meant from a quality standpoint and Gillans insistance on screaming from time to time with no positive effect. emoticon

Hhmm,is this the way you feel about them while they obliged you during your backstage meeting with them,or is it just how you feel about them as band and company?

My backstage meeting was in '96. That was when they still had some integrity left. Half the set was new songs, the rest was listenable. At the end of my '96 trip, I didn't even wait for the encores.

Only speculating now,but this reminds me of a speech in Germany:"Wenn die Maus satt ist, schmeckt das Mehl bitter".
(When the mouse is filled up,the flour tastes bitter)

I believe you're right to a certain extent.
It's like watching the same movie 30 times, over a 12 years. They might slowly have changed the dialogue a bit, but it's still the same.

I can understand that they don't change the setlist everyday, but their attempts of renewel has been a bit pathetic, for the last years.

The setlist problem is a fact yes, they should have done something about that much earlier, that's true.
It was a nice and fresh appeal to watch them performing quite a lot of new material from Bananas. As a source for live performings this album has something good to offer.

So the format of the file, will change the show? Another bullshit. Standard was fair. Nothing more, nothing less. I can transfer it to super deluxe DVD special edition, without changing the fact, that it was uninspired. Gillan still strugling with a bad voice. Morse still boring like hell, Paice just beating the skins, Glover adjusting his headpiece, and Airey trying to do some justice to the Hammond, still feeling his way around in a band without direction.

He had to be well known enough to be of influence to Dream Theater, and he was interviewed for VH-1's top 100 hard rock bands show along with Blackmore and Glover.

np: Rush - 2112

Thats funny you mention the money because
my mother happened to give the tickets as a
last minute Christmas gift when I told her we would be attending she insisted on
covering it since she hadn't yet bought us anything for Christmas. So the tickets were free, although I hope mums money is well spent. emoticon
