HTP

I was never amazed by Born Again, the production is indeed dreadful, most of songs are pretty daft (save Disturbing the Priest, Hot Line and, well I even like Digital !@#$ emoticon) and even tho it is the heaviest Gillan record, I don't recommend it as an essential album. You should get it someday, when you don't know just what to do with yer money. emoticon

I just want to say to anyone who doesn't have the remastered edition cd of BA,
YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED AT WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT IT REALLY IS.
Just imagine if it had been remixed for cd as well.

Only saying this because the general complaint here there and everywhere seems
to be the production, and righfully so but
I still say it was highly improved upon.

If you find it in a shop,an easy way to tell is it has a silver sticker on the front
that says,

"remastered from origonal master tapes"
________________________________________

     "faithfully restored artwork"

It also has a red reversed negative of a pic
that was taken backstage at Reading on the
back cover.Plus a nice big write up in the
eleven page booklet.

The reason I'm telling this is because it may be kind of hard to find.
I bought it back in '98 from Jart music
and that guy is no longer in buisness to my knowlege. emoticon

In my opinion the remastered version of Born again is better, but still not too good. That's the low point of the album, but with Trashed, Disturbing the Priest (Killer!), Zero the Hero and the title track it contains great stuff, therefore it is a must-have!

I also love Keep It Warm, as it´s differs huge to everything BS have done before and since. It has most of Gillan in it, I think.

BA is great, Gillan SCREAMS his lungs out. Definetly one of the most amazing heavy metal performances ever! Trashed, Hotline, Zero the Hero and Keep it Warm really stand out! Being a big Sabbath fan as well, the album is a must have!

What does the HTP1 sound like? More RnB/soul or rock?

Why don't we saddle up and ride out one more time?

HTP rocks pretty damn good to tell you the truth.
I like your assesment of BA for it's downright fairness.
I guess some people just don't get it and I take it most of them in this thread didn't hear it until it was old and just don't
like the sound of it right off the bat
therefore can't get into it enough to
hear it's beauty,
or something like that. emoticon
