Brian is talking about Graham Bonnet because
with Don Airey Deep Purple still has
two former Rainbow member's.

I wouldn't mind hearing snippet's of instrumental
bit's of solo song's before SOTW.
Especially GB era Rainbow.

You say IG couldn't touch GB
well I must admit you do an
uncanny impression of GB yourself,
I suppose that mean's you are
better than IG.

That's what it sound's like to me.

Btw Brian you also do a smokin' Doogie White.

I take it you are not having such a good day?
Go home relax and have a Banana they are good for you
and they make you feel better.

Finally, someone agrees with me. Especially Gillan's solo stuff, it would fit right in. Unchain Your Brain, I'll Rip Your Spine Out, Sleeping On The Job, Dancing Nylon Shirt, I could go on. After all the interesting aspect of the band is the enormous family tree. Hell, quit playing SOTW live, only casual fans want to hear that dreck. A little more depth. I've obviously opened the proverbial can of worms.

Wouldn't want to see it. There is already enough time contraints where they don't play alot of their other classics. I rather see them play more stuff from their other recent releases and some of the rare material that made it on the remasters of their 70's classics like Painted Horse or I'm Alone.

One of biggest of my many criticisms of Mark IV was their insistance of playing Tommy Bolin's solo stuff.

there are already enough dP tracks they don't play Live!
And plus they all did at the albert Hall concert and during the concerto tour.It was nice in this concept, but I don't think it would have much sense otherwise.Already I thought that the DIO tracks were out of place.

The day Roger Glover performs Hip Level at a Deep Purple concert, is the day I ask for a refund!

I heard them play Difficult to Cure (Rainbow) several times when Ritchie was in the band. Seemed to work ok...

Absolutely no - they have enough their own brilliant songs, too many to enumerate them. Let they start to play at least some of them to make the live shows livelier ;-)
