my dad met jon and just mentioned an idea about performing a classical Jon Lord solo concert with the trondheim soloist. some months later jon called back and my dad almost drove off the road of exitement.
later, Jon came to hell just to "check out"... and they became very close friends. this was in july. and the concert was supposed to be sunday 14, september. he came on wednesday or thursday and recieved an award, did a press conference and a rock/bluesy show on saturady and then the cathedral concert on sunday.. :P
