The Japanese people are geniuses- they can make anything sound good, even ROTD! There should be a Grammy for Most Crappy Production, and Bradford would win! Easily!!! nondisclosed_email@example.com (KillerBananas)Fri, 10 Feb 2006 19:04:41 +0000 Re: Played in Japanhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p156193,from=rss#post156193https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p156193,from=rss#post156193Actually I've since found out that no extra mastering was done. According to Gillans micstand: If you listen to the original Japanese version, you will hear the same fine quality sound, and if you have any other Japanese cd's, that you happen to have another copy of, from another teritory, compare them, you will see that it's just good old fashioned integrity...they just sound so much better, it's stunning....and there is no way it can be argued, once you compare Japanese pressings to anything else. This is a fact, when it comes to Deep Purple recordings. If I had the to guess, I bet the Japanese have better equipment.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Ormandy)Thu, 02 Feb 2006 20:15:56 +0000 Re: Played in Japanhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p156192,from=rss#post156192https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p156192,from=rss#post156192What "re-remastering" would that be....?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Blackmore on)Thu, 02 Feb 2006 17:12:32 +0000 Re: Played in Japanhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p156191,from=rss#post156191https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p156191,from=rss#post156191WOW! Things I Never Said is a really cool track! A great way to close out the "European" version of the album. I don't know if my ears were playing tricks on me, but the re-remastering of the album is great.  nondisclosed_email@example.com (Ormandy)Tue, 31 Jan 2006 17:38:33 +0000 Re: Played in Japanhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p156190,from=rss#post156190https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p156190,from=rss#post156190I think it's the 10 tracks regular Euro version, with Things I never Said just right after Before Time Began.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Apolllo)Thu, 19 Jan 2006 22:00:35 +0000 Played in Japanhttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p156189,from=rss#post156189https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p156189,from=rss#post156189 We're LORDLESS, I know it, for a second time, but damn if ROTD ain't a great album. Took me a while to get into it- which is usually a sign of a soon to be favorite for me. Question: Does anyone know the exact track order for the Japanese import? I'd like to give it a spin the way they do over there. I've heard the American version, but now I want to hear the way it's played in Japan.nondisclosed_email@example.com (LORDLESS)Thu, 19 Jan 2006 21:51:09 +0000
