Re: Rapture sales..
Based on the emphasis on European tour dates, it certainly makes sense based on the brisk sales of ROTD in Europe. Maybe that means they'll actually play more than 2 songs from the album when they get in Eastern Europe.

Re: Rapture sales..
Did I miss a set list?
I saw ROTD, Wrong Man and TINS...more than 2 less than 3...what else are they playing?
Of course they should play 5-7 ROTD songs because they ARE TOURING IN SUPPORT OF A NEW ALBUM....
sorry...I don't know what came over me...

Re: Rapture sales..
It depends on time limits, I'm telling you... and when they have a short set to pull off, it's too bad they can't drop some of the older stuff, to make room to keep newer numbers in the set, but they're not in charge, obviously... in this situation, it's partially city ordinences, that force this clusterfeck position, combined with a variety of ass kissing from a smorgasboard of suits, before they have anything to say about it... it's funny how a buisness is run, within another here... it's the same old corporate burachratic nonsense.
It's not the songs, it's how they play them, and it's been proven to me, nearly every trip I've taken to see them.
I've always had reservations about the setlist they're going to play, but it always leaves the mind, within minutes of them hitting the stage, and thats why they're still worth it for me.

Re: Rapture sales..
I'm sure they are under rpessure to play all the big hits....but I don't think any suit is saying "You must play Pictures of Home, Well Dressed Guitar or When a Blind Man Cries or else."
Don't get me wrong...I think these are all great songs...POH is my favorite MH track and one fo my top 5 DP songs of all time....
But drop the marginal old songs and play NEW TUNES...I'm sure they are great (hearing good reviews) but play the new stuff...
Replace Pictures of Home with Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye
Replace WDG with Junkyard Blues...let Steve Show off a solo spot in the song....
CQA replaces Blnd Man....now you have 6-7 songs and all of the great hits...
How hard was that...

Not bad at all. Very nice in fact.
I'd like to hear Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye instead of Black Night as the encore and replace Pictures of Home with Money Talks as the opener.

Re: Rapture sales..
The best album of 2005, and that is coming from a music junkie.

Re: Rapture sales..
I think that on European 1st Leg they found their best setlist they ever had! I mean all gigs with this setlist:
Pictures
Things I Never Said
Wrong Man
Ted
Living Wreck
Rapture
Before Time
Mary Long
Contact Lost
Well Dressed Guitar
Lazy
Perfect Strangers
Junkyard Blues
Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye
Space Truckin´
Highway
Smoke
--
Speed King
Black Night
That was the best setlist I´ve ever seen them play on tours with new album. And I think that "magic" of that set was in the half/half count of "new" Morse era songs (9 songs) / classics (8 songs) / rarities (2 songs), because everyone founded on the gig what wants to "look for".
