Highway Star (Best concert opener of all time) Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye...(keep the fists pumping...then talk about ROTD) Wrong Man...groovy wrocker ROTD Contact Lost/CQA Hush or Black Night(Pep things back up) Bananas (talk up last lp) Before Time Began Junkyard Blues (with extended jam session) Women From Tokyo Encore Money Talks (come back with keyboard solo leading into) Smoke 7 ROTD 2 Bananas 4 classics.....extend some solos and leave out older WDG. I'd personally prefer a different set (I love PS and hate to see it leave the set for example) But they have to play the new stuff...and aenough older stuff for the casual fan. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Star City)Wed, 07 Dec 2005 12:35:14 +0000 Re: Rapture tour setlisthttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p155195,from=rss#post155195https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p155195,from=rss#post155195quote:Carramba wrote: They are making new albums and trying to promote them. On their 35th anniversary tour they played tracks from their history from the 70s 80s and 90s as well as newer material. Deep Purple will play stuff from their most recent album and then play the same tired old nostalgia tracks. It wouldn't be so bad if Purple were to vary these tracks. It was great to hear No On Came for instance but why oh why dont they play more from In Rock? Dream Theater does this. They have about 3 times the material rehearsed so they can change their setlist every night, and make sure to not play all the same songs twice when they revisit a city. It is tough, especially in the US, to try new stuff when most people haven't heard anything since the 70's and want to hear all the classics.nondisclosed_email@example.com (daschrier)Sun, 04 Dec 2005 19:24:10 +0000 Re: Rapture tour setlisthttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p155170,from=rss#post155170https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p155170,from=rss#post155170News flash...Redskins and Cowboys caught agreeing with one another...whats the world coming to???? nondisclosed_email@example.com (Gillans micstand)Sun, 04 Dec 2005 13:38:42 +0000 Re: Rapture tour setlisthttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p155169,from=rss#post155169https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p155169,from=rss#post155169DP needs to focus on new material and stick to just the greatest greatest hits...
