Yeah, artwork has been posted in this forum already (http://com3.runboard.com/bdeeppurplefanforum.fraptureofthedeep.t14) and promos must be out as I've seen reports about journalists who has heard the album (can't remember where now, sorry). Keep an eye out on your favorite torrent site. :^)
But as always with DP, it's the way this news breaks. It is once again a sad example of the poor DP PR department. No, I will not claim THS should be the first to have the cover but shouldn't at least the band's official website be where fans find news like this? And again, keep your eyes on those downloading sites. I have a feeling Edel doesn't hold as hard in their promos as EMI did and "Bananas" promos found their way out on the market pretty quick, even though they were "copy protected".
The advanced copies obviously must be given out according to IG´s latest letter. Has Stathis been left out this time or must he come back from holidays first in order to find this nice surprise in the post?
To get information for this album we must look really hard, and this time I feel it´s the first time that the forum is faster than everyone else(even DPAS seems to be 2 weeks behind). Our members search out and find stuff. I still do the same I did with the last albums before their release that I sit on Google everday and type in the album title to see if anyone got information anywhere.
I remember that the album cover for Bananas appeared a bit to soon for the taste of EMI. It was the brown tinted one back then but it was also on a shopping site. It didn´t appear on the official site before it got in stock in their shop and I´m sure they will do the same with ROTD this time.
As for me personally I got enough information on this album. Now I can gladly wait until October 21st to hear what it sounds like. I´ll stay away from soundbites and previews/reviews and the like to haye my own unbiased opinion on every song and the whole. That was my problem with the last albums I heard the clips first and read the reviews and the first time I heard the whole thing I recognised the clipped parts(I still do that) and had the reviews/descriptions/comparisons in the back of my head and that´s something I want to avoid this time(although that might be pretty hard to do, but I´ll make it anyway).
Ah well at least I got the new Neil Young album to keep me warm for the time being.

BUT, congratulations to Milan who apparently dug all this info up. My post may have sounded like this board wasn't worthy of carrying news of the new DP album. That is not my point. My point is that DP's PR department sucks. :^)

Who will be the label for US: Sanctuary or Spitfire? I hope its Spitfire.
As far as I know, there isn't a US label at the moment. But if it is Eagle in Canada, I would guess it's Eagle in the USA too. I think that means Spitfire in the USA.
