ROTD - On Bit Torrents
I think it is terrible that this has appeared on bit torrents already, and by the look of it loads of purple fans are getting it, lets hope that they do the right thing once it is "OFFICIALLY" released and support DP by buying a proper copy.

Neither am I. Have heard the one minute promo clips and that will do me until the actual album comes out.
Totally unfair on the band and everyone to have most likely bad quality MP3s available for free and illegally before the album is even out.

I only consider it unfair if people make judgements only based on those ! My only problem with downloading the album is when people stop buying the real thing because they have it on mp3 ! I have the mp3 (and i´m really loving the album) but i can´t wait to get my hands on the real thing ! I think real fans always want the real thing ! I have Live at the olympia on MP3 because, belive it or not, i can´t find it here in Portugal (and i don´t have means to buy stuff on the internet) but when i find it, i´ll buy it ... but untill i find it i can enjoy the music , because it still is the main thing

i have the full promo and they have put a couple of glitches in it on purpose. also the soundbites do not sound anywhere near as good as the album.

I am a fetishist for Deep Purple CDs - I have bought Made in Japan and Burn three times, first as a vinyl, then as a common CD, then the remaster. Will do the same with Stormbringer, Come Taste the Band and eventually with all the reunion albums. (Before MiJ and Burn, I replaced all my vinyls with the anniversary editions.)
MP3 satisfies my curiosity, not my fetishism. My Deep Purple collection occupies a honor place in my living room, followed only by my jazz records.

Good point, well made. Although I was lucky enough to get an advance copy I'll still buy my usual copies; one for the house, one for the car and one each for the kids. I like to have the original CD around to try to convert a few non-believers! I just hope they haven't got copy protect on ROTD as I actually had to burn a copy of Bananas to play in the car as the original wouldn't work.
