ROTD chart positions
It will be interesting to see how it charts. I was just looking at amazon.de and it appears the limited edition is at #25 on their internal chart, which is a bit of a letdown, considering Bananas was at either #2 or #3 within the first week of the release. Still too early to tell though. Feel free to report numbers as you come across them.

Re: ROTD chart positions
On the following site, ChartsPlus are trying to predict future charts.
http://www.futurechart.co.uk/FCAlbums.asp
According to them ROTD should be around No33 next week. Top 40 wouldn't be too bad...
Let’s wait and see...

Re: ROTD chart positions
I think the album has been quite hard to get hold of in the shops, HMV in liverpool had "delivery issues", so its quite unfair. Plus in all the shops I went to to get the album, it wasn't in the new release section, it was just put in the rock section, so the general music buying public probably wouldn't have a clue that Purple had a new album out. What is it that people are so against groups such as Purple getting into the charts? Oh no we can't put Deep Purple's new album in the new release section, it might jepordise Robbie (f****n) Williams' new album from getting to the number 1 spot.
Rant over!

Re: ROTD chart positions
The limited edition picked at #7 at amazon.fr. Much better than Bananas did actually.

Re: ROTD chart positions
Is that no 13 on the general album chart in the UK? If yes, then that's a very good charting.

No, ROTD is outside top75 albums in this week's official UK album chart, which shouldn't actually be any surprise.
