Paicey's drum sound on ROTD
Nitpicking I know, but is there anyone but me who finds IP's drum sound on ROTD a bit strange? The snare in particular...

Re: Paicey's drum sound on ROTD
I have not got a quality version of the album yet. But I think Paicey changed snare sound around the time of Abandon. I think his snare sound has been a bit flat ever since. It used to have this thik, deep sound. Now it's maybe tighter and cuts through Morses big guitars better, but to me it sounds less part of his overall sound.
Yes, this is nitpicking!

Re: Paicey's drum sound on ROTD
I think the album it's been recorded in digital trough pro tools directly, the snare sound like "cold" isn't smooth and hot as usual, there isn't the tipycal "snare down mic" that usually gives Paice that sound full of "down-snare-net".
I dont know if I've explained well what i wanted to say because of my english..sorry about that...
