Quality control
Where is the quality control. The booklet contains a number of errors or omissions. The page that includes the band details "IAN GILLAN" - that's all, not "IAN GILLAN - VOCALS".
CQA (which I personally think has the best lyrics of any DP song) doesn't even have the full lyrics.
There are other examples as well but that will do for now.
Bleet over.

Re: Quality control
Check out Polydor's DP and Rainbow remasters. You can barely recognise just who is who in the booklet's pictures... it's as if the pictures were taken with a built-in mobile phone camera.

Re: Quality control
Island's CD reissue of Traffic's On The Road album is abysmal too. The brief history of the band is cheap, and looks like it was written in 2 minutes on the back of a bus.

It's probably the published lyrics that are reprinted by kind permission (what a load of bollocks, the kind permission, but that is copyright law). You see/hear quite ofthen, that lyrics on the record are different, because rights has been obtained at an earlier stage than the final touch on the vocal-track.

Honestly you people actually read through a leaf on a cd?! Wish I had the time or inclination to do so.

Nope, I read the inside of the gatefold cover of the double vinyl.

It's easy. When I put the CD in the stereo for the first time, I like nothing better than to sit down and read the sleevenotes, while listening. I don't want any other distractions.

Maybe they heard the disc before ;-)
