I don't believe that it was ever stated that this - or the 'old' Highway Star forum - wasn't 'very much Blackmore oriented'. I see no problem or contradiction in this.
For anyone to take any type of extreme position - that only Blackmore or Morse should be allowed to be discussed, or only MkII Purple or only MkMorse Purple, for examples, is probably not conductive to a forum that'd be worth being a member of - in my non-humble opnion, of course of course.

I was talking about musical tastes and not being allowed to discuss this or that
what I read here and what I read in the blog where regular fans post their opinions of the new album differs a bit
I am not saying it is right or wrong
just my observation

I didn't mean to imply that you yourself advocated that certain things not be allowed for discussion, Wrong Man. If I gave you that impression, I apologize, as it certainly wasn't my intent.
And as for you being a staunch supporter of Steve Morse - as I alluded to in another post on another thread/topic - you certainly aren't alone in your positive opinion(s) regarding Steve Morse as a guitarist. Nor do or would I consider that postion as 'extreme', either.

Really? Do you think that it's impossible to dislike ROTD without being a RB fan? Why I do find ROTD quite boring is because I don't think it's a very good record compared to what they did on record a few years back. Is that really hard for you to understand? If I don't like ROTD I'm a "Blackmore-head", is that it?
