Re: Inside Pink Floyd - A Critical Review

I have no idea what MA's involvement with Ritchie is all about (not much I should think) - but I do like their music, and I've heard their music before I saw the band members (and I don't fancy any of them!!).
It's all down to personal taste, as usual, I think it's great, maybe you don't! But saying that the "eye candy" is their selling factor is really unfair - let's face it, there are better "eye candies" around - look at the semi-naked girls on MTV.

And another thing (about charismatic lead singers) - even if one fancies the lead singer, the base player or whatever - I think it usually comes after the music touches something deep inside. Again, there are lots of pretty face! The emotional involvement is what matters, and for some people, MA's music is very emotional and touching.

Tali,

Ritchie has always shown alot of interest in the band and is in communicaion with BJ now and again. He is also quoted somewhere (not sure where) as saying the BJ is the best up and coming guitarist in Britain.
MA did two tours with BN but on both occassions it was as a 3/4 piece and they concentrated on a folky set.
Heather (the eye candy) is in constant communication with Candice and they are very good friends.

Ali,

Thanks for the review,
word is that CRP didn't have permission to release these DVD's and are facing a big court case. We will see!

Probaby several big court cases, judging by the amount of material they've issued in the last few weeks.

Nobody can stop you from publishing a review of their work. And you can include excerpts from that work for the purposes of reviewing it. That's allowed under copyright law. So, good luck with the court cases emoticon

I think there's a limit as to how long the soundbyte/video clip has to be in order not to be breaking any copyright laws (10-15 secs?). Anything longer than that and you have to be paying to use it.

If CRP have not been careful enough with this they're in for a very rough ride indeed, Pink Floyd's legal team has a notorious reputation (it's not like Purple where someone can put out Doing Their Thing 32 different times without anyone batting an eye lid! emoticon).
