I´d prefer "for the sake of all our enjoyment" as well.

So how about his religious ponderings? Holy blue? That's gotta be a allegory for the pope, right?

You´re talking to a die-hard Gillan fan who analysed all his lyrics inside and outside of Purple to death, who is, being a die-hard Gillan fan just pulling your leg.

Pretty much! Like 'military intelligence', 'jumbo shrimp', 'working vacation', etc.,etc.

"Wrong Man" - Gillan and/or Glover are up late watching old movies and the Henry Fonda classic comes on...or it's admittance to Randy that perhaps a more 'metal/rocker guitarist would've been a better choice back in 1994; sort of Gillan's "Smooth Dancer" to Steve Morse?

You got it right Ed, the song "Wrong Man" is about Morse, but Morse don't know it. You nail it on the wall.
If I'm not mistaken the lyrics for that song it goes something like this:
---------------------------------
We are NOT the Allman Brothers, we are not Lynyrd Skynyrd, we ain't the 38 Special, we're not the Eagles, we don't wanna be Poco......
We just wanna ROCK, rock very hard, rock hard.....yeah, rock & roll lives.
We wanna go back to heavy rock, but we can't coz we have the wroooong maaaaaan!!!!
--------------------------------
You like that Ed??? What cha think Ed???

Re: Some of the new song titles - on ROTD
nice to see everyone's being positive about the new album before it comes out!
its not even constructive crit.
i shall reserve my judgement until i here the album. i'm happy their making more than one every five years.
if Gillan wrote the songs then they sound like Gillan not Coverdale.
chill out, sit back and wait for the album. You might even enjoy it. oh no wait i forgot Blackmore's not on it is he. GET OVER IT.

Re: Some of the new song titles - on ROTD
I´m just excited to hear news about the album ! C´mon ... you are judging the lyrics just because of the titles ?? It´s Ian Gillan, he knows his way with words ! and Randy ... i know you dream a lot about Steve Morse being kicked of Deep Purple ... but listen to the album first ... then you can complain all you can if you don´t like it (and i´m quite positive you will because you and others are already biased against it ! ) Rock On People
