Re: Celtic Legacy - Resurrection (a review)
I think "Resurrection" is absolutely f'n brilliant.
The days when I had every album by every rock band are long behind me and my listening has been largely confined to the tried and trusted for the past few years. This is mainly because I'm just not impressed by most of the new stuff that I hear.
I can't remember the last time I got seriously hooked on a "new" band. This one is on repeat play on my machine, which is more than I can say for "Bananas"
The biggest compliment I can pay it is that I can't seperate any "favourite" tracks out, nor are there any that I'd dream of skipping. The whole thing works from start to end so very, very well. Just get it - you will NOT be disappointed.
I am in absolute awe that I correspond on here with people capable of producing music like this.

Re: Celtic Legacy - Resurrection (a review)
Cheers Ian, I take it you liked the abum
This is exactly the kind of thing that really gives me a warm feeling. That album was done exclusively as a result of fan power - no record label, no management, no support from the music industry, no profile in our home country and no money. That's what makes it all the sweeter - the album is a labour of love and a result of sheer determination on everyone's part.
To get this kind of response to something we've put our hearts and souls into makes Resurrection a platinum album in my book.
Thanks for all the great feedback guys. I'll pass everything on to the rest of the band.

I've been playing it to death too, and it just gets better and better.
Out of interest Dave, do you have a note of who plays the guitar solos on each track? I'm a bit of an anorak!

Re: Celtic Legacy - Resurrection (a review)
Hi Dave,
I went into town and bought the album on Saturday and I just want to say I haven't been able to put this album down since. I'm listening to it in the morning, noon and night. It's amazing! And it's nice to know that some money from this album is going towards a Phil Lynott memorial statue.
The Celtic melodies seem to make the music more powerful and alive, they really work well together. The lyrics are beautiful and Mark Guildea has an excellent voice. There's not one song that I dislike on this album. Some excellent guitar riffs in there too.
The bonus disc is also excellent and the sleevework, I love the image of the Children of Lir.
I just want to say that I'm really proud of you Dave and the other band members of course and it's an awful pity that it might not ever be released in Ireland because I think it could be a huge success.

Re: Celtic Legacy - Resurrection (a review)
I'm probably being seriously stupid (no surprise there) but where can I find the Celtic Legacy website?
All the searches I put in seem to end up at a site which is obviously for the "old" pre Resurrection band.

Re: Celtic Legacy - Resurrection (a review)
Thank you! I'd tried "Celtic Legacy" with and without the space, with and without underscore, the one I hadn't tried was dash. Doh!
