The Highlands of Scotland are amongst the most beautiful places on the planet. If you get a chance to see it, do so, before they cover the land with windfarms and electricity pylons! emoticon Although I'm down in the lowlands, I much prefer the countryside to the 'big city' stuff. Just watch some of the scenery in 'Highlander' with Christopher Lambert emoticon

Well, for the first time visitor there's a hell of a lot to see in London. It's one of the most significan capital cities in the world. I know I just couldn't cope with living in a city of that size, but there are so many museums and theatres and historical sites that I simply didn't have time to visit, I guess I'd like to go back too.... emoticon

London is more than this, RH! Much more. And the countryside of England interests me too a lot! One day I'll come back, that's for sure!

I've been to London many times, it only takes a little over half an hour by train to get to it from where I live, and each time I come back home each time supremely thankful that I don't live there. Words can not describe how hideously depressing I find it, it's an open sewer with comparable architecture run by criminals .

"...run by criminals?" That's the Eastside, I think. Too dangerous. emoticon

No there´s a slight difference:
Westside is run by criminals. Eastside is where the criminals run!emoticon

The East End is where they all come from and then once they've gotten high enough on the criminal hierachy they get a "club out west" and concern themselves with the staples of organised crime. Then of course there's the criminals in pinstripe suits in Westminster.
