Helloo friends!
I'm new to this forum. I'm a Purple people fan since lots and lots of years. I've posted two posts and now I'm planning to continue doing so. Any complaints in doing so? No? So,I just have to figure out how to use this forum correctly, using these yellow faces and all.../wally roundhead

Re: Member Introduction
Hi. I'm not quite new since I've been visiting the old HighwayStar.com forum years ago under that name, notably. I'm from Belgium. My DP collection amounts maybe 250 items. I'm currently putting them on CDtracker.com. I'm DP fan since 1986. Otherwise, I like classic rock (Wishbone Ash, Uriah Heep, Magnum, Asia), new progressive rock (Mostly Autumn, etc.), hard rock (Iron Maiden) and Symphonic Metal (Nightwish, After Forever, Visions of Atlantis, Morifade, etc.). I'm a big fan of the Man in Black (BN, Rainbow). I like Marylin Manson very much.

Re: Member Introduction
Hello!
I've just arrived here, only recently found the forum, mainly because I've only very recently caught up with the rest of the world and aquired a computer!
I've been a big Purple fan since around 1979; never thought back then that I'd ever get to see the band! I started with '24 Carat Purple' and my collection has grown steadily since then.
These days I tend to be a bit of an old folkie into stuff like Fairport, Harper, and the like, but I just can't stop keep coming back to Purple and the rest of the family!
See you soon, fellow Purplies!

Re: Member Introduction
Hi Everyone, Im John and Im 48 years young. Im from Michigan. Married for 24 years and have two grown sons. And 3 wonderful Grandkids!!
I found this forum via the HighwayStar. Ive been a Deep Purple fan from the first time I heard them. I honestly dont remember the year it happened. I just remember they rocked(still do)and I wanted to Rock too!! I think "In Rock" was probably about the time, so early 70's. But it was'nt until "Machine Head" that I truly started paying attention to them. And then of course I had to have "Made In Japan" Man I used to get Fu*ked Up listening to that one!! Hehe.
I enjoy several kinds of music. Melodic Rock, Prog, Symphonic, Classic Rock, Lots of different kinds of Metal, Blues and even some country LOL.
I enjoy all the the Purple Family and its branches. They all Rock!! But sadly, very sadly I have to say I've never ever seen them in concert. But I hope to before I die!!
I post on a few other boards and I work a lot. So I will try and come around as much as possible.
If you want a taste of the music I listen to check out the banner in my signature.

Re: Member Introduction
Only good manners to introduce myself I suppose.
You can call me Steg. I live in Norfolk in the UK and first saw Purple in a muddy field in Hertfordshire in 1985! I also had the pleasure in '87, '91 and at Ipswich in 2002 for Jon's last (half) gig.
If you're interested in what I listen to try http://www.last.fm/user/Stegbeetle/ and if you're curious about me try http://solidgone.blogspot.com/.

Re: Member Introduction
Just found the right place to say hello! So...hello!!!
I love this site. It's the best place I have found, so far, to discuss all things Purple.
I have been a fan since 1971 when I was a mere boy and really got into them big time when I saw them on the 1974 UK tour. Over the years, I'll admit, my interest has come and gone but middle age seems to have completely brought me back into the fold and I'm now in the process of replacing all my old vinyl with the CD's.
I'm VERY keen to trade CDR's of live shows. I only have a handful at the moment but if anyone would like to trade or maybe would be willing to do a B&P with me, I'd be very grateful. I'm in the UK.
See you all around the board!
