strange forum behavior lately
anyone else notice that a number of threads state they are new with most recent post by RamshackleMan but in fact when you read the thread there is no post from RamshackleMan?
very strange.

Ramshackle Man went on some kind of Rampage on this forum and put a nasty message in a large number of topics. All of his posts were deleted and that is why it says he was last poster.

....And in so doing, he dredged up old posts that maybe began in 9/2003 and went to, say, 11/2003...followed by his post on 28/2/2004.
But since the mods. "gave him the hook", his sole 2/2004 post is gone, leaving a seemingly old post pushed way up front, where you normally wouldn't expect to see it.
Part of this was due to his ressurecting the posts from the archives that Milan made very clear we are only supposed to READ, and not POST upon.
Therefore you'll see all kinds of stuff from Sept. 2003, that just doesn't make sense anymore....like, "Hey, we got 30 people on the forum now, things are really starting to pick up around here!...." 
Or...."Hey, I think the Cubs are going all the way and are going to win the World Series this year....what do you think?" !
In due time, posting over them will put them back where they belong....that is until he comes back with a different user name.

Odd that some people take other people's opinions as direct, personal assaults on THEIR way of thinking. Almost as though to disagree with them is as if you hit them over the head with a tire iron and drew blood!
I will never understand that mentality, as I come here to have fun, and make friends in my "off hours", not create something new to stress over. Lord knows, we've all plenty stress to deal with in our "offline" lives, so why bring it here? That's what I think.

One thing
I never took one word of RM's as an insult
he just didn't like to find anything out from my direction,he completely avoided me
when I would ask him about things he knew nothing of concerning modern technology.
His opinion of Purple in their current state doesn't mean a thing to me.

I realize that. I meant the other way around. HE must have taken what you said as an insult, since he's the one who let the forum get to him, and you're the one who's still here.

I was just making a clarification since you brought it up,I'm not really sure what RM's problem is,trying to get negative attention lately or something.
His posts used to be not so bad but somehow that all changed for the worst.

I wasn't trying to back you in a corner...I was actually sideing with you, and then I generalized my comments to apply to ANY situation where a "Person A" might get bent out of shape, merely because a "Person B" doesn't agree with them. That's all.
