Anyone for Cream?
Rock's most important power-trio are back!
Anyone happy by this? Be interesting to see how these boys sound together after all these years!
And Clapton hasn't excited me for years now! This could be a turning point!

Re: Anyone for Cream?
Very Happy!
I remember seeing Clapton give a short speach at the R&R Hall of Fame ceremony, man he was all choked up, almost crying with emotion. As soon as I saw that I thought these guys are gonna get back together.
I am surprised it took this long, I was starting to wonder.

Gee, that was a bit of a surprise! Wouldn't mind going to that actually, but I will most likely still be in Oz.

Re: Anyone for Cream?
This is incredible news. If it happens, there'll be mayhem, not just in the stampede for tickets but also at the gigs.
My main concern would be that they don't embarrass themselves and/or their audience....but, my God, what an amazing prospect!

Can't see them delivering with the same intensity....but, who knows? If you've seen the 'Farewell Cream' video of them in rehearsal in Paris in 1967, they should at least be able to manage that!
If it happens I hope everythings recorded and videoed for the benefit of those who can't get tickets.

Re: Anyone for Cream?
Anyone for Cream? Wouldn't that be nice!
I've always stated that Clapton is a brilliant guitar player, but a horrible songwriter. The only time he is exciting is within a band situation. With that being said, he hasn't been worth much since Derek and the Dominoes. This could be great stuff. Cream were/is/will always be one of the greatest groups ever.

Re: Anyone for Cream?
What a rare opportunity to see an influential group that helped carve a piece of rock's architecture, bring all together for what could be one of rock's finest "last curtain calls".
