I consider myself Conservative but don't always vote Republican. I vote for who I think is the best person for the job. I voted for Clinton, than Bush. Both parties in the U.S. have their faults. They both take money from big corporations and than do favors for these big shots and to hell with the average person. Most of the polititians running for high office are millionaires and have no idea how the average person lives. We very badly need a Third Party in the U.S. Cheers

Anyway with regards to my politics, I want leaders to take a vow of poverty. I want proper democracy , not this dodgey masquarade called "representative government".

I haven't gone anywhere. I still defend what we have done.
We had been at war with Iraq since the first Gulf War. It never ended. On a daily basis our planes, as well as British planes were being fired upon protecting the Kurds in the No-Fly Zone from Iraqi anti-aircraft installations. They were like mosquitos that wouldn't go away. He had been jabbing at our side tempting us all the way. The only problem I had with the way it was handled was the ruse that we used to try to get the rest of the world on our side because now everyone wants to know where the WMD are.
The real reasons for me being behind the attack are what I just mentioned above, #2 We were just attacked on our own shores and we needed to make a statement to the rest of the world that we are no longer Mr Nice guy and will not tolerate terrorism any longer. #3 Saddam really did have WMD, but we waited too long to attack. It should have been an all out attack without all of that wasted time warning them and negotiations with anti-American countries to pull them to our side. We spent too much time on diplomacy and not enough time bombing. The Japs attacked Pearl Harbor with virtually no warning. And in turn we dropped the bomb with no warning. Serves em right. If you want to win a fight, you don't tell the guy where and when you are going to hit him. Just !@#$ hit him.
But we used the WMD as a ruse. If like some say..it's all about the oil, that's fine with me too. I'm paying too much at the pump right now. Lets go and get the oil.
Our service men are dying everyday out in Iraq still. It's really time to put an end to it once and for all. We need to realize that we are still at war and finish it before we begin any humanitarian action. Even though I don't vote, I still root for the guy who has balls, and George W has big Texas Balls. I just may vote in the next election and vote for George W. Bush. Clinton was a lot of fun as well. But the Journalists and his foes were more worried about him getting a piece under the table than doing something and had him tied up with nonsense when we knew it was Osama that blew up our ship in a foriegn port. If our political parties could just get together on one thing, protecting the American people at all costs, we probably wouldn't be in this mess. This is why I hate politics, how can we protect ourselves when everything one politician does is undermined by the others party. A third party for the people would be nice, but then the other two would undermine everything. We might as well have friggin actors in office. I pulled for Archie Bunker.

I will vote for Democrats and Republicans, but I will never be a Democrat or Republican. I find myself to be a conservative who is to the right of the Republican party. I consider myself to be a constitutionalist; not to be confused as a member of the Constitution Party, though I have a similar ideology except for the standard religous right views that the party posses.

so you basically accept that your countrymen are dying for your cheap oil. I can't believe it. this really reminds me of that joke "What idiot transported all the American oil to Iraq in the first place?".
how do you want to end the war once and for all by the way. seems like it's going to a bit of Vietnam II, and I pity all those soldiers who are getting wounded or killed for no good reason. I don't pity Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz etc. (+Blair) who sent them there and whose chances for reelection are now dwindling
