Image Problems

Image Station pics that I had posted of my Hammond on the "Inn Rock" board under the post name "Picture of my Ham.-Finally!" have disappeared and been replaced with red x's.

I understand the rights of owners of the photos to remove them if I pull them off the web without permission, but to remove pictures that I posted myself through ImageStation, just seems rediculous.

When I edited the post to turn an "img" into a "url", I clicked on it, and a screen came up saying "FORBIDDEN- You do not have permission to view 'blankety, blank, blank.jpg' on this server".

What does this mean? I had permission to do so as of January 9th. What is the problem a month and four days later?

Can anyone tell me what has changed?

Would this be an alteration on ImageStation's end, or on Runboard's end?

My Hammond pics aren't the only ones affected. Lesliescream's Mercedes and Coirce's url links that I had later quoted and converted to "img" tags, also disappeared and were replaced by red x's.

What gives? Are the rules slowly getting tighter around this place?

I don't think it's a runboard problem - at least to the extent they are not allowing pictures to be shown.

You might want to look and check if you have checked the "Automatically convert http:// links" box below your post - that might throw off your editing old posts.

The answer you got by clicking on the link is probably generated by the server of the provider whose link you clicked.

Have Image Station changed their rules? They might have discontinued free "hotlinking" - which stops pictures from working on runboard.

Firlefanz,

I believe you are right in that it's a ImageStation prob. and not a Runboard prob.

I checked the box below (the "Auto convert http links") and it has already been checked since I started using this forum back in October, so that is NOT where the problem lays.

Thanks for your getting back to me though.
