The Holy Grail followed by Life Of Brian. The thing about Monty movies, is that no matter how many times you watch them, there always seems to be something new to laugh about because you were laughing so hard about something that happened before.

I voted for Holy Grail. I think Brian is as good but for some reason I HATE the spaceship bit.

LOL I guess at some absurdities of Monty Python humour people can get pushed to their borders.

I love it because:

a)with that they openly admit a hole in the storyline
b)the solution for this couldn´t have been more mad than this
c)he lands exactly where he came from after travelling around earth
d)the reaction of this scenes witness is just simple and brilliant! emoticon

But I see why someone might find it irretating, and it´s pretty long ago anyway, Rezi that we agreed upon anything.emoticon

The spaceship bit also has Rainbow ramifications as it's the top of the tower that the slaves built for thier wizard that Brian falls from and is saved by the ship.

I'm torn between Holy Grail and Life of Brian. I can't decide which one I like better! emoticon

I don't think it was that long ago! emoticon

Speaking of holes in a plot, I think even more characteristic for MP is the ending of Holy Grail. It really has no ending and that's how many of the sketches in Flying Circus were, too.

I rate Holy Grail and Life of Brian equally but sentimentality just gives Holy Grail the edge for me.

For me life of Brian doesn't quite life up to the first two... its still bloody funny, but the cast don't seem to be enjoying themselves quite as much.

Only monty python can write funny sketches/stories with no punchline!
