For any of the Admins...
Milan, Rahul or Niko - I posted a topic on the "Purple Discussions" board a day or two ago, and I was wondering if any of you have given it any thought, or even had a chance to read it yet.
It was in regards to maybe moving old topics that have contributed towards "maxing out" the "Purple Discussions' + "Non Purple" boards. It would be a shame to lose some older ones that perhaps we "original" forum members have posted on but newer members may not get the chance to. I was going back through some of the pages (#s 20 - 25) on each board, and it seemed there were at least 10 to 15 that could've been comfortably moved to more appropriate boards. Some of them, which generated maybe 0 responses, or only between 1 to 5 and then seemed to just die off could reasonably be deleted, opening up room for newer ones.
I was just wondering if the idea has been thought about at all, or are topics going to be lost to the voids of cyberspace, or is some sort of system close to being put in place - an archival or save type of thing, or an expansion of each boards capacity to hold topics?
It would be somewhat of a shame to see a chunk of the forum's (albeit brief) history be lost, like the last 8 months or so of the "old" forum's on the Highway Star was.

If that would happen frequently, I´d just block the write access, means: no archival digging, but archival reading!

That you certainly did, John! You were definitely one of the - if not THE - people who inspired me to make a topic of it and try to bring it to an administator's immediate attention. Many thanks.
Anyhow, I got another question...when any board reaches the topic limit of 500, will the oldest topic from the oldest or highest numbered page be automatically archived? Or does an administrator have to do that manually - so to say?
