a) And thank God for that!  Active or inactive is hardly my point, but seeing as you brought it up...the constant reference to this just seems another ruse to justify his own board. I still don't feel he should have one, but he does - and I have to accept that, which I do. But I don't gotta like it - and I don't.
b) Comparing Lord's place in Purple history to JLT's?!? That's one logical conclusion to draw from that statement, John. I'm sorry, but mentioning the two in the same breath (or post, in this case) is bordering on utter lunacy. 
c) Why should it? I've posted opinions/likes/dislikes on boards of this forum that have been met with hoots of derision, sarcastic replies, etc.,etc. It's one of the "dangers" of a discussion forum.
Which leads me to ask - where's all the JLT fans? Are they REALLY that thin-skinned regarding their guy that they're scared to post? It's funny, but even a JLT non-fan such as myself is willing to give them more credit than that...

No, not comparing Jon's status with JLT's. Just observing that both boards have been equally quiet of late, so if we're judging whether boards should exist on the basis of activity/inactivity, then both boards would be on dodgy ground.
It is summer after all - maybe some of the other forum members aren't as obsessive as us and do have better things to do with their time.

a) Okay, fair enough. Any misinterpretation is mine and mine alone, then. My point was that for the last month or month and a half, there's been considerable talk about JLT's board and some speculation was put forth that people were reluctant to post on it. Well, I agreed to let up on the slagging - or "bashing", if you will - and still no marked increase in traffic, or sewrious postings regarding JLT.
b) Again, fair enough...what you say just may the case. On the other hand, it may not be, too. But, I'll give JLT fans credit for being just as obsessive as any other fans of any other artists.
