I see no problem with it in theory, but most of these chat discussions develop as a result of the original thread. And then go way off topic!
I can't imagine people going into a chat room just to talk crap. It normally follows on from an existing thread. And I'd be surprised if the two people then decided to leave that thread and go to a chat room board to continue their discussion!
But perhaps I'm wrong?
