I've got POD PRo and BAss POD PRo and they are truly brilliant as demo recording devices and for use at home where you want a low volume. When you try to use them live it's a whole different story, they are simple awful at stage volume. THey 'fizz' like crazy and sound so thin it's not real.
IMHO if you want a real guitar sound, buy a real valve amp, like an ENGL or a MESSA or a CRATE or a SOLDANO or a BOGNOR or a LANEY GH50/100. From my experince of pedals, POD's and Multi-Effects they are generally all designed to work ONLY if they plugged into a power amp an absolutley NOT if they are used with a guitar amp.

Curious if anyone has tried the Line 6 Helix LT and the Powercab? I have been following the development of guitarist Matteo Mancuso and his band SNIPS and he gets a great sound out of that equipment. Here he is at NAMM 2019 performing his composition "Polifemo".

If I remember right Joe Satriani even used a Line 6 POD in the studio. Unfortunately I do not know where I have read it approx. 15 years ago. Maybe he claimed that in an interview in Guit. Player mag.
