Re: Jon Lord in St. Wendel
The one after Cologne that was "processing" is now on sale, I'll have to wait and see but I'm not overly optimistic.
I'll still have a look at Berlin though.

Re: Jon Lord in St. Wendel
No matter how things will turn out to be, I don´t think I´ll be able to sleep tight until the 6th of february...as if I´d ever sleep tight...

Re: Jon Lord in St. Wendel
But you might be pleased to know that WA next month isn't possible so I won't be able to brag about having seen both Wishbone Ash and Jon Lord.

Re: Jon Lord in St. Wendel
I have seen Jon Lord, even in Deep Purple.

Re: Jon Lord in St. Wendel
Silly me, but it was 6 years ago....so I should have something like "within the same time frame".
But anyway, we all know that Munich is probably sold out and you'll go and see Wishbone Ash whilst I won't bother because hotels in Berlin are too expensive.
So these last few posts have been pretty pointless really...oh well, goodnight...

quote: He played no synths but he played a Hammond B3 sometimes
Now What does this remind me of ?
Ah yes.
He played mostly acoustic but he played a Fenderstrat sometimes....
Sorry, could not resist.
And an astounding setlist, so congrats for having seen a great show.
Hartmut

Guess what? I asked that question in expactation of that answer.
The appearance of the Hammond on Cologne Again is a bit like the appearance of the Strat on Gone With The Wind...

Re: Jon Lord in St. Wendel
Hi Milan,
Guess you're right. But noboday moans about Lordys music, whereas Blackers provokes still more than one bad criticism (And I'm not talking about yours about Veldenstein).
Mabye RB should have put out SotM already in 74 ?
Considering the hammond, I already read in the reviwes about his performance in Hell/Trondheim this year, he put an organ solo in "Gigue", So I thought "well maybe we get some more than "Cologne again".
Not knowing the tour will be postponed til 2005.
I think the St.Wendel and Trondheim reviews give some clues it will be getting better than in Munich 99.
Many Greetings,
Hartmut
PS, of course, I think that PW and BtN I like a lot better tha RBs output....

Re: Jon Lord in St. Wendel
SotM in 74? With a baby Candice crying to the songs?
I thought that the synthesizer played some important part in Gigue, but if he can rearange it to make it still sound good it´s alright.
He´d be Blackmore if after every regular show before the encores people would hope for him to perform Lazy on the hammond or something like that.
