Photo gallery
Some of the forum members have posted pictures of themselves.
Could we have all these collected on a single webpage? Like a DP Forum Gallery. It would be fun.
Anyone willing to put up the web space? Perhaps we could persuade some of the current THS editors to make room in the THS image gallery...

Good idea,
Maybe it would be a nice thought also to ask Thor ( bless his name ) if it's possible to ad a music linking page to favorite songs.
Deep Purple song's only ofcourse.....
I for one would like to donate space of my website server from my company to help......

Would be interesting, but I would prefer the reintroduction of the Avatars with the people´s actual faces for that purpose.
I´ll probably be doing a poll on that.

Avatars, bad idea. Photo gallary good idea. There's a reason the avatars was taken away. They make it slow, for rediculous reasons.

Do avatars really slow things down? I am on a slow connection yet dont have problems. Its only when there are big pics that things slow up. Besides this site needs some colour.

And some people have to pay for the amount they download. Some people do not have the possibility of getting their parents paying for a broadband connection.
I have broadband, and am still fundamentally against avatars (even though I have one), it's up to the forums is they want to dislay them. If I had the choice, I'd also ban images in posts.
An image gallery, yes you have a choice (as David wrote) see it or not. A forum is not an image gallery. Links to images are also "cool", you have the choice.
Avatars are also an excessive waste of bandwidth. Waste of bandwidth are bad, extremely bad. I prefer 100 spam emails a day, instead of having to look at stupid pictures of people.
Some people do not have the knowledge to reduce the size of images, and end up posting a 1 MB avatar, because they don't know how to handle the stuff.
