Re: Character Limit on PM's?
Email PMs go to the email addess the recipients specified when they created an account at runboard /akheva. The recipient gets a mail with the subject "[email protected]" or something like it.
Inbox PMs go to a members' inbox on runboard itself - there is a link to your inbox at the top of every page. Normal users have space for 7 inbox mails, premium users can store 20.
You have set your settings to not accept mails into your inbox (in fact, you don't accept any mails at all...).

Re: Character Limit on PM's?
I think both are useful for discussing things that should not be on a board - private, admin or whatever.
When I write an email-Private Message, and I like the person I mail to, I often include my mailadress, so we can move on to pure mail. I prefer it that my address is not visible for everyone, however, and the runboard (almost typed akheva here) system allows me that much privacy.
Inbox PMs never leave runboard, and they are useful for people who run a seperate mail program - like I do. Inboxes can be accessed through the browser and are more comfortable that way - and I think they are faster. They also protect your privacy even more.
Could I persuade you to at least accept inbox PMs?
