Looking for Deep Purple's Machine Head Live 1972 in Denmark DVD

Where do I purchase the DVD either Scandinavian Nights / Live in Denmark or Machine Head Live 1972. They are both the same, just different titles. I live in the U.S. Can anyone help me out? Thank you...

Don't purchase them. This title is being reworked for reissue with properly remastered and cleaned up sound for DVD and should be out sometime this year or perhaps 2005. The titles out at the moment from this show are mere VHS transfers.

Thank you for your reply. Where might I find a copy of that title now. Is it still out there. Until the new one comes out, I would be very interested in getting that dvd or vhs. I cant seem to find or get enough of Deep Purple Mark II lineup on video. I live in the U.S. so I dont know if there is any other online store or a music store here in the states where I can purchase it. I have a couple of videos of Deep Purple. A few of them in the early years and 1 of them from 1985. I am basically looking for them in the early years.

If my laser disc copy is a vhs transfer, then it's certainly a first generation, cause the quality is outstanding compared to my original vhs tape, and my Brizillian pirate DVD,thats for sure!!!!
It sounds and looks way better, but it cost and arm and a leg.
For instance, their stage clothes look almost as if they bought them that day, compared to other formats of this concert, where their clothes look like old grubbies, the resolution is that much better,I assure everyone here of this!

It is live in Denmark 72,the very dvd you're looking for, sorry I don't recall exactly where I ordered it from, but I can assure you that this concert footage isn't worth seeking until T2 puts out the superior
version along with Cal Jam 74,as already mentioned here.
You will just have to upgrade if you buy a pirate, and that will only frustrate you, wait for it,it will be worth the wait and then some.
I think I bought the pirates for 10.00 each U.S. in some kind of package deal or something.
I recommend you try ebay,I'm most certain you will find it there, but don't stop at the first one you see,the prices very, and some don't sell, they only auction.
If that doesn't work, try Gemm,BELOW IS THE LINK.

they may or may not have a copy,if not I suggest you opt for something there, and just wait for the upcoming T2 release, like everyone else seems to be doing, the only difference is that most of us have seen it and know it would be nice to have it improved upon, which has been promised by T2.

Btw,I have actually owned this footage since before it was released for the first time,I watched it in 1983 and then obtained a copy in 1986.

Thanks for your input and also the website. I will check that out. I tried ebay, but I found nothing under Deep Purple dvd's. The videos I have now are awesome. I only wish that they didnt cut out most of the songs. I have masters from the vaults, and I think its really good. I need more though.

There has got to be some Purple dvd's on ebay,hhmmm...
Try the Gemm link again,I re posted it,just go to the video section once you get there. emoticon
They used to stock a large number of videos, but they cut back some time ago, however they should have something to offer.
I also recommend becoming a bootleg trader, this is where the hot material really is.(if you like that sort of thing)
There are tons of videos and dvd's going the rounds that aren't on the market.

Against the recommendation of a couple o' members of this forum, I ordered the brazilian California Jam dvd instead of waiting on the T2 release (which could take forever). I ordered from an ebay seller....It arrived in four days (excellent) but it was defective.

This would have been my 1st time ever seeing DP in a live situation, so I'm disappointed to say the least. I'm ready to start my DP/Rainbow concert collection. Will anyone here trade me '72 and '74 for some blanks??
