Re: Deep Purple - Ostrava 1991
Question Milan:
Did JLT bother slapping himself on the ass
during the HTP show,
or has he left that little move behind?
The problem with him onstage with Purple
in the Ostrava gig is that he tries to run the stage as if it's his big break or something, dancing and a prancing, and he gets noticably carried away.
"!@#$ Sadaam"!!!! and TCRD and surprisingly LQA are worth having this gig for but don't expect a whole lot more, especially from the rest of the band,Ian Paice is solid though.
JLT has matured somewhat since those days I'm sure.
I hope you find a good transfer of it,mine is a bit bleedy,I got it from Brian, and it's probably a 5th generation or something, there has got to be a better filmed show from this tour out ther somewhere.

Re: Deep Purple - Ostrava 1991
JLT´s stage acting was more than okay when I saw him, although Glenn Hughes obviously blew him off stage.
What annoys me a bit that he seems a bit too concerned about wars the US government do, and thinks he always has to write songs about that.
There´s obviously something wrong about saying **** Saddam but not **** Dubya!

If I wasn't American and didn't know any better about it I'd say so.

Re: Deep Purple - Ostrava 1991
Any country who's government wouldn't retaliate one way or another from a hit like 9/11 is nothing but a wimpy nation.
There is no amount of cnn screwed up media news program or political science classes
that can ever teach you eough about what it's like to honer your country as much as living in it from day to day for atleast 40 years can,and that my friend is a superfact.
Back to the subject of erratic poser rock,
I'm sure Glenn did blow Joe offstage
funky hippy clothes out of key whoops and all.
