I know the guy who taped the shows
and has the masters, so hopefully
we can get these on DVD from master
VHS tapes pretty soon.
I believe the last night was the best one
as far as filming is concerned.
Cheers!

That would be great. Do you know how good the master really look?

I'll contact the filmer of these shows
and let you know how things turn out.
I only have a 1st gen VHS copy of the show
with George Harrison and the quality
ain't too bad considering it's an AUD
film from 1984! Really weird angle though.
Cheers!

Is that the one that is filmed off Ritchie's side of the stage but almost from behind him?

Re: Looking for Sydney 1984

...that all depends on how you feel about audience recorded videos in the first place, the quality of these Sydney shows will be improved only by the masters being transfered to CD,then circulated.
The standing quality of them are fine,if you like this sort of bootleg level of show, some people might even rate this one as an A,because the rating system of these can be a little on the up side,I've got some terrible shows that are rated way above the quality I find them to be,but I judge them from how well they are filmed, and if it's a fine performance or not....and not how desperate I am to view a particular show, which I'm sure can often be the case.

Do you think we might see a new copy off the master anytime soon? A copy right to DVD would be great.

...I know I wrote "CD" but I meant DVD,as thats what this show is already on,but having a 1st generation from the master will only be so nice, because that doesn't change things from the camera angle standpoint.
This is like literally watching them from the back, with a slightly abstructed view to make things worse.
Master or no master, it's still worth having, atleast for collective purpose.
