Why not all DVD's available on THS link?

I would really like to get my hands on the "Machine Head 1972" DVD, or the "Scandanavian Nights 1790" DVD.

I just discovered tonight (yea...I know, I'm slow on the draw) that you can buy DVD's over the Highway Star website. They have a link to Amazon.com or something like that.

However they don't have the DVD's I'm really looking for.

Where can I find the above titles I mentioned, and how do I assure (before I plunk my money down and can't get it back) that it will play in my United States DVD player?
=================================

Also, (slightly different topic), whatever happened to Vesko Popov? He used to post on the THS forum and him and I were discussing the possiblility of trading DVD's between California and Poland. Then I dropped out of sight for awhile, and I never saw him post again. Does anyone know of his whereabouts?

'Cos the Machine Head Live 1972 DVD [Scandinavian Nights 1972] isn't an official release. See the July news item at http://www.deep-purple.net/mk1-6news/mk1to6news.htm

Please don't bootleg official releases - feed the artist.

I didn't boot it Nigel,it was given to me,then I bought it.

Still waiting to hear your bogus source about said show's.
I'm sure you have plenty of boots yourself,
btw,who are you to to talk?
They all have to come from somewhere don't they?

I suppose you tell everyone who you ever bought a boot from, the very same thing.
Please don't go around revealing info about show's that never took place whatsoever, and certainly don't publish it
as I understand you will be doing one way or another.
Unless you are just making you're book availble through
the DPAS or something, but I will only support you if you
remove the dates that are bogus.
This is in no way an attempt to slag you but you need to get off my back and quit correcting me,especially when

I can attest to you're false info. emoticon

I do support the band, probably more than you ever will. emoticon

Apologies, you'd said, "I have a dvdr of Making of Machine Head maybe we can work something out?" Sounded like distributing copyrighted material to me, something that could be bought.

Sorry, I haven't a clue what that means. If it's something you wrote in the forum, sorry, I don't read all of the topics, not enough hours in the day, and I rarely revisit a thread, though I've made an exception today.

Buying/owning plenty of boots is one thing. Are you suggesting I'm actively involved in selling/trading copyrighted material? I am not.

If you've any info about Purple, Rainbow, Gillan or Whitesnake dates, please email me - there's contact details on the websites - thanks. Don't try the 'send email' link here, I've killfiled it.

I wasn't aware that I was on your back but if I read comments here that I think are incorrect or misconceptions [in the same thread I've pointed out to John that the 1972 live DVD isn't an official release], I'll try and volunteer what I understand to be the facts - if you feel that I've be doing that with you, it'd be because I felt your comments were incorrect. If you feel there are errors or omissions in the details on my websites, please email me through the contact details provided on those websites.

For one Nigel
I did not copy the dvd,I copy nothing that is copyrighted
with the intention to sell or trade,as far as giving goes
well thats another story, besides,my software will not
allow me to copy copyrighted dvd material. emoticon
What I meant when I said I bought it was,it prompted me to instantly go out and purchase the official product and therefore I have no use for the dvdr, and I would gladly give it away,so thats what I meant by saying he and I could work something out.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You probably will not respond as you usually don't but let me ask you this,
have you never in you're life taken a copyrighted album and made a cassette tape of it and then given it to a friend? If so then you are guilty of the exact same thing that you accuse me of,why can't people realise this?????
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You OBVIOUSLY don't remember a prior discussion we have had in these forums about the two Rainbow show's on you're
tour dates list that you imply took place in Portland Or,1982.
I ran the direct ticket outlet for the venue that you implied the show's took place in.
It was a while back when we had this discussion, possibly in the old forum.
You did respond once to me stating the dates were genuine
I would simply like to know you're source for said show's
THEY NEVER HAPPENED NOR WERE THE TICKETS EVEN PRINTED.
The show's however may have been booked but I doubt that
seeing as how I had first hand knowlege of every single event that took place their for 4 years between 1981 and 1986.Maybe you will recognise my former handle
fatLarryand his car????You have attempted to correct me several times in these boards.

When I get aroud to it I will send you an email through
the link at you're site.
YOU MAY NOT HAVE NOTICED THROUGH READING THESE BOARDS THAT
I HAVE ONE OF THE LARGEST LISTS OF CATALOG NUMBERS FOR
DEEP PURPLE IN THE WORLD,INCLUDING OWNING MOST OF THE
PRODUCT ON MY LIST.
So I do feed the artist and then some,I'm a bootleg collector only second to being a collector of official
merchandise and I have recordings from close to 40 countries. emoticon

Hello Mr.Young,
there is one question of mine 'though I don't know if you're the right address:
Is there any chance or any plans for a release of older(78-early '84) Whitesnake live material on DVD as I have seen cameras on more than one of their concerts in the early eighties, and if not(what I guess) - w h y ??
Maybe you could clear that up and thanks in advance for a possible statement of yours.
Cheers.

Don't think so.

I'm fairly sure we haven't had a 'prior discussion'. If you wrote on the forum regarding these shows, I didn't read it. As I said before, I don't read every word or thread - there aren't enough hours in the day.

It's quite credible that the Portland gigs were pulled, the gig in Seattle was rescheduled and later pulled as well.

Of course I do.

Yes, as I said before, "because I felt your comments were incorrect". Those comments were made in the forum so the responses were made here as well. You're responding through the forum to information on a website http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nigel.d.young/rainbow/index.htm

When I get aroud to it I will send you an email through the link at you're site.

Please do - it's the way that most people use to input regarding the gigs.

We did have a prior discussion about this
you just don't remember.

Why list gig's that never happened?
Thats like me listing a cat number that doesn't exist. emoticon
