Concerning Tommy Eyre, he had cancer I think and passed away recently, sometime during the last two years. RIP, he was a great keyboard player indeed and collaborated with many hard rock greats, from Gillan to Gary Moore to Michael Schenker and others.

Cant any of this rarer footage be put on the internet for download or on Kazaa or something. The Hofstra thing would be particularly desirable, as would Into the Fire. I remember Böblingen concert being on a small thing on THS when they used to do video stuff. It was a big open air thing and they were playing HS if i remem, that would be a great thing to dig up and DVDise. Also, concerning these "bits" of concert, what's that about? If people are gonna be bothered to set up cameras why not film the whole lot instead of a few short minuits or seconds

I have the 1990 Gillan DVD, which also has SOTW, Demon's Eye and WABC amongst other Naked Thunder and older Ian solo stuff. The take on Demon's Eye is a decent one I suppose, especially in the vocal department where our man does a fantastic job. The highlight of the Purple tracks on that DVD for me is definitely the stirring When A Blindman Cries, done a bit differently than the recent Morse version with an awesome Gillan delivery.

I have had that cd/dvd set a few times in my hands but never bought it!I've been so dissapointed by some Gillan/IGB releases (sound quality), that I sort of don't wanna spend my money anymore unless I'm sure!
Last Gillan's thing I bought , was the HIROSHIMA 77, which is a great performance but has an awful sound (especially for an official release).
So that 1990 Gillan concert w/Demon's eye has a better sound quality to it?BTW who are the musicians on that one?Steve Morris?

I got the Into The Fire clip and the Hofstra one off the internet, you just have to search more often I suppose. emoticon

Concerning The Gillan dvd,it's definetly worth getting and is a very good sound and video production for TV.
Steve Morris
Tommy Eyre
Ted McKenna
and a few others.

I believe the video has a song or two more,
Puget Sound and something else.
Do you mean song's missing from the entire set?
How do you know how lenghty a set it was,
they filmed it in a TV studio and those type of set's are usually cut a little short.

I have this DVD but have only watched it once. I'm more looking forward to receiving my DVD of the Rock Goes to College and Scottish TV shows from 1980 emoticon.
