Never give up hope, MkIV + associated Bolinoids! Remember, the "Days May Come" + "Beachwood Drive" audio gems were discovered on an old cassette tape that the owner of Pirate Sound had + didn't know about for years (I think that's the story; I can't recall exact details right off the top o' the old noggin). Ya just never know!

Re: New DP DVD Archive releases
I would have thought that the two DVDs already announced will be followed by some compilation DVDs that will cover marks 1,2,3 and 4. "Rises" is one obvious Mark 4 inclusion.

Re: New DP DVD Archive releases
The 1990 Connaiseur Collection VHS I have is purple tinted. I´ve also seen versions on the net that were pure black&white. No idea about how it will look on the DVD though. Hope they did a bit of work on the picture quality, there were some bad flashlight reflections on the old footage, maybe they edited that out(as well as the variying sound quality) afterall that´s the point in a DVD release, so I hope they did some good work!
4 weeks to go!

Re: New DP DVD Archive releases
that time went quickly! i'll be getting a copy tommorrow no doubt. The sound clips on deep-purple.net dont sound changed from the old VHS - it's still kind of distant with the vocals and bass way up in the mix - one can only hope that they just stuck in an audio example from the VHS else it may not be worth building hopes up...
