Re: Top Ten most disappointing albums:

King Crimson - The ConstruKction Of Light(could be called "The Best Of" or "A Retrospective" as well, the preceeding and following albums are so much better)

Wishbone Ash - New England (just doesn´t get me)

Queen - Hot Space (One of my favourite bands failing at trying to be funky, Under Pressure is so good that it´s completly out of place, Las Palabras De Amour is wonderful to but that´s not enough)

Chris Farlowe Band - Live (Now there is an artist that usually doesn´t dissapoint, here he has a go at soul and funk though. Could be so much better than that)

Pink Floyd - More (I hate the film and if not seen as a soundtrack it´s a pretty incoherent piece of something but not a good album)

Neil Young - Are You Passionate? (Good in parts but generally dissapointing in the context of all of his good work)

Black Sabbath - Technical Ecstasy (Rock And Roll Doctor, Dirty Women and Hard Road are fine, the rest is ereased from my memory)

Dio - Angry Machines (just can´t stand that!)

Genesis - Duke (Phil Collins first solo album)

Glenn Hughes - Blues (might be the only album in my collection where he sings on I don´t care for at all)

Okay for a start I think I´ll say that it has become one of my top 5 Crimson albums.

Re: Top Ten most disappointing albums:

Deep Purple: TBRO, S&M, Abandon
These have been discussed at length
Perfect Strangers
Hugely disappointing to me personally. Two great songs a couple of good songs, the rest - filler!

Thin Lizzy: Life
Terrible sound quality and pales in comparison to Live & Dangerous

Rainbow: SBTE
Bad production, far too AOR for my taste and too many fillers

Pink Floyd: The Division Bell
Was really looking forward to this but it never really did it for me other than a couple of songs.

Iron Maiden: Dance Of Death
Sounded like a lot of songs on BNW had been recycled.

Helloween: Rabbit Don't Come Easy
No new ideas at all

Whitesnake: 1987
'Nuff said!

I quite liked that one, better than the previous one for sure.

Did that one song´s outro(can´t remember it´s title) remind you of Stargazer, too?

Re: Top Ten most disappointing albums:

Styx: Kilroy Was Here - it took me almost 20 years to finally accept it as a gret album, and I'm still pissed at Dennis De Young!
Boomtown Rats:V Deep - I just wasn't ready for the reggae inspired rythyms, not from the Rats
Tommy Shaw: Girls With Guns After the Styx break up, at least I could take solace in a real rock album from Tommy, couldn't I? Nope, it was waorse than Kirloy Was Here - pure pop crap
Deep Purple: CTTB Although I have re-listened recently, and it is not quite as bad as I remember, it it was a huge disappointment when I first listened
Deep Purple: Fireball Amazingly, I was deeply disappointed initially (I bought this one many years after its original release, as I did with all the MkII & III releases). I had only heard the title track previously, and was expecting MH Pt 2, I guess. Now, it is my favourite alongside MH of all thier albums, but it took me a few weeks to get to fully appreciate, then enjoy, and finally love the album.
Rush: Power Windows As has been mentioned elsewhere on this thread. I more or less stopped listening to them after this. Although I continued to buy their albums, nothing they have done even compares to Signals, far less to Hemispheres
Bruce Dickinson: Tattooed Millionaire Utter tosh, except for All the Young Dudes
Pink Floyd: The Final Cut Again, as mentioned previously; utter crap, especiallly after the masterpiece that is The Wall. Roger Waters' departure was a relief after this.
Yes: Union Boring
Spice Girls: Spice World emoticon

Phil :)

Styx, Deep Purple and Iron Maiden - music doesn't get any better than that
