Favourite Basslines
I wanted to do a "not so typical list" here. We had guitar solos, drum solos and all that. What about basslines?
Making the list is simple pick your favourite bass part and write it into the list like:
[Peformer - Song(either description or starting time of the bassline on the CD player) - Band]
No particular order necessary(and used):
Martin Turner - Sometime World (2:48) - Wishbone Ash
Roger Waters - Echoes (7:00) - Pink Floyd
Mark Clarke - Tomorrow´s Blues(Intro) - Colosseum
Roger Glover - Pictures Of Home (3:40) - Deep Purple
John Deacon - Liar (after the "Mama, I´m Gonna Be Your Slave" part) - Queen
John Myung - Learning To Live(after the end of the last chorus) - Dream Theater
Chris Squire - Gates Of Delirium (10:25) - Yes
John Paul Jones - Dazed And Confused (Intro) - Led Zeppelin
Greg Lake - 21st Century Shizoid Man (everything during the guitar solo with a highlight at 4:13) - King Crimson
I didn´t managed to do nine, but I´m sure a lot more will come to my mind later...

Chris Squire - Heart of the Sunrise (all of it) - Yes
Huh, it's hard to give parts of songs without listening to them. I'll add more later.

Re: Favourite Basslines
Yeah, I didn't have time to do it last night, because it takes too long and I had places to go and people to meet!

Wouldn't that've been Steve Priest? Or did the late Brian Connolly (Connelly? Connally?) do some bass work on some of their studio material?

Yeah, that's what they all say.
Anyway;
Zep - How Many More Times
Sab - N.I.B (intro)
DP - Shield
Trapeze - You are the music, we're just the band
Pink Floyd - Dogs, One Of These Days
