No reason to repeat the obvious ones (purple, heep, floyd, rainbow etc)

Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands
Brownsville Girl
Highlands

Not metal, but major epics nonetheless.

Well......yeayaaaahhhhhhhh. It's a long song with plenty of orchestral instruments in it and when played loudly, sounds quite epic to me.

I have my own rules as to how I consider or call a track juding by it´s lenght...

0-2 minutes: a take
2-5 minutes: 7" single lenght song
6-10 minutes: overlenght
over ten minutes-40 minutes: epic
40 minutes and more: experimental single song album...

 emoticon

Ah..your very technical and rules oriented.
My rule is "if it sounds epic..it is."

No hard arguments. Just haven't thought of it like that. But why not, really. emoticon
