I meant that in all humor,he means much different I'm sure...
although he constantly claims he's only trying to help,if I don't know what I'm talking about, then how would I be so close when I jot down such notions,I'm not sitting in my room full of valubles, nor do I remember every detail,if he or anyone else corrects me then so be it,but to think that I don't mean well, and don't know the half of it is just plain badgering.

Well I don't know that many details anyway, I always appreciate being corrected when stating nonsense, no matter if it's from you my friend, Nigel or anyone who happen to know better. But that's me then. emoticon

When I have stated nonsense I have no problem being shown.
When I get something a little mixed up due to 30 years of details being misplaced from time to time,I get annoyed when someone who knows exactly where I'm coming from has to get their jollies by using slander over trivial details that don't take much away from or completely destroy the main point I'm trying to make, and uses my words as if they are being discussed in stone in a place of casual discussion as if this is the bible or something,it's a forum,a simple place to discuss things, not to try and make people feel small just because some details are missed while making a point that the missed details hardly matter in.

While out of town today I was thinking about this, and before I have the chance to edit

What? You were thinking that, when you previously wrote, "As for Jarusalem I have this one,it's not bad either, but Nigel the great has argued with me about this being a Gillan prduction to pretty much no end in these forums,it's actually he that is wrong about this, although he claims I am the wrong one", that you had since realised that you were way, way off the truth? In January, you steadfastly refused to be told the title of the Zero Nine LP and were seemingly ignorant of Jerusalem's much earlier LP.

What I was going to edit before he goes waaaaay out of his way to research and post emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

No problem, only took a couple of minutes.
quote:

is: Nigel actually only corected me about Jarusalem not being Zero Nines first album,
not that Jarusalem's first album wasn't produced by Ian Gillan, which he neither confirmed nor denied.

You can try and rewrite events all you like but I did not just "corected me about Jarusalem not being Zero Nines first album". I pointed out that they were two different bands that IG produced, ten years apart. In January, you were saying Zero Nine's IG produced album was called "Jarusalem" [sic] and that you had never heard of an earlier band called Jerusalem. We didn't mention Zero Nine's first album at the time but, as you seem to think we did, I'll tell you now that it was called Vision, Scenes And Dreams.

last one being for not the first time, about whether or not he has experienced the superior formats of SACD and DVDA?,and if so what does he think of them?,the answer is obvious, coming from an area that most likely the average citizen is still in transistor radioville. emoticon

Well, seeing as you charge the question with both racism and unfounded superiority, I'll treat it with the contempt it deserves, before shuffling off into my cave to listen to my antique reel to reels.

Nothing personal emoticon

Yet you seem to take everything personally.

I was simply pointing out an inconsistency old chap. Either in January, or now, or both, you were 'talking out of your neck' [I think that's your phrase] emoticon That alone wouldn't matter but you added the "I-was-right, Nigel-was-wrong" angle which was wholly unnecessary and wholly unfounded.
quote:

I get annoyed

..... far too easily it would seem emoticon An ounce of good grace wouldn't go amiss.

I'm neither getting my 'jollies' nor slandering you. Please get this obsession of yours, that there is some sort of 'pissing contest' here, out of your head - next you'll be telling me [like you've done with Milan and others] that you're older than me!

More spin tactics from Nigel

How would I have known of Jarusalem in the first place when I simply had it confused with Zero Nines Blank Verse????? emoticon
(a simple misplaced memory,no big deal)emoticon

...of wasted time, that you wouldn't have spent if only I hadn't been gone all day,I would have edited and we wouldn't be in this situation.I'm not proud,I was wrongemoticon

quote:

Not buying it Nigel, you have read this thread and responded like a lurking vulture.
...and I'm sure you will again.

No racism, the last time I visited England
it was very behind as far as anyone I could find with any decent hi fi equipment and I was in the company of huge music fans,I have nothing against your country and have family there,I was only making a wise crack, you should know that! emoticon
I don't dislike or have anything against dinasour technology,I just upgrade to keep with the times, and I'm glad I do,I still have reel to reel myself, and I often use it because I don't have to keep changing,I can listen longer without doing so,but I sure don't bother scuffing up all of my Deep Purple Ampex open reel test tapes, yes everyone of them still have the test number stickers right on the reels. emoticon

Yet you seem to take everything personally.

...only if you see it that way,I see you as doing the same, talk about a persacution complex,if I'm wrong, then why bother responding with such cander?(lack of)

quote:

..... far too easily it would seem An ounce of good grace wouldn't go amiss.

I have a mirror for you,I suggest you look into it. emoticon

I don't need to tell them, they already know,
and I hold your work in high regard, but not the way you go about having the odd jab at me,it's also done with the worst of intentions, which you happen to defend without forethought.
If defending myself means I'm having a pissing contest, then what does it mean when you do it?????
(you'll be back)

Excuse me for breaking your laws of editing here. emoticon

Re: Family tree importance

I saw the Jerusalem vinyl in a local record store in Newcastle once!

£50 quid they were charging, which I didn't have, and even if I did, possibly wouldn't have splashed out.

Never seen it again though, which makes me regret not rushing to the nearest cashpoint and grabbing a wad of tenners.
