Rupert Hine, Hardin&York(and Hardin solo), Young&Moody, SDG, Sin After Sin, Rory Gallagher´s Calling Card, some Nazareth, Grand Theft, MSG and Jump The Gun by the Pretty Maids are some non direcly purple releated albums I can think of...

As I´m not such a completist that I think I rather buy the albums I´d be interested in, anyway.

Do you have the two Gillan produced albums and what do they sound like?

When I become a millionaire, I'll complete my Deep Purple family tree collection!
Then I'll spend the rest on a pair of new shoes.

I have all the ones you mentioned, there are some others that aren't as well known and aren't on any common lists.
The Gillan produced album I have is:
Zero Nine - Blank Verse
I like it,not all that bad,but I haven't listened to it in over a decade.
Whats the other one?,I may have it but I'm drawing a blank on it too.

The debut album of Jerusalem and also two singles by Sammy, I think.

As for Glover, I´ve just seen some production stuff listed on THS.
There´s also more minor contribution in the session works section. Appearently on some albums he only did a bit of percussion.emoticon

If you should know of anything more that is not listed on THS, better report it to them. It´s better if it´s complete.emoticon

I could do that if I had my list,I've been trying to find it lately.
As for Jarusalem I have this one,it's not bad either, but Nigel the great has argued with me about this being a Gillan prduction to pretty much no end in these forums,it's actually he that is wrong about this, although he claims I am the wrong one.

Thanks for clearing that up,I will have to grab it the next time I do an inventory check so I can bring it home and tape it.
Sammy?do you mean Samson?
I think Pretty Maids may be somewhere in the mix as well,on Roger or Ians part.

What I know is that Jerusalem is listed in the 1998 version of Gillan´s Autobiography(if it was a failure when it was in Child In Time it would have been removed in the updated version, or not?) and two Singles are listed there as well:

- Goo Ger Woogie/Big Lovin´ Woman by Sammy
- Feline Woman/Ska Child Deram by Pussy

Glover produced The Pretty Maid´s album Jump The Gun, and if I recall right Paicy is also involved into that in a way.

And of course Gillan provied some funny screaming and dialogue on the B-Side(A Merry Jingle) of The Pretty Maids´ In Santa´s Claws, single(is also on some sampler by the PM).

........ And still you keep typing 'Jarusalem' [sic]. The actual exchange you're alluding to is in black 'n' white at http://com3.runboard.com/bdeeppurplefanforum.fmainarchive.t559, as follows:

6/1/2004, 12:36, Niko Vidgren wrote:

My father knows one guy who's brother was in a Finnish band called Zero Nine, and Gillan produced their album(s).

I have that album Niko,
it's called "Jaruselem". emoticon

I seem to remember Jarusalem being the name of the Zero Nine album,it help's to read Nigel,Niko spoke of the Zero Nine album that was produced by Gillan and I wrote:
I have that album Niko,it's called Jarusalem.(most albums have titles)
(I own nothing by a band called Jerusalem)

So, a few months back, you owned nothing by a band called Jerusalem and refuted that the Zero Nine album [that you recalled as 'Jarusalem'] was called 'Blank Verse', when you wrote: "I have no recollection of that title, hhmm."

Now you've had both of them for years. Foot in mouth, perhaps?

While out of town today I was thinking about this, and before I have the chance to edit,of course Nigel creeps in,in his usual fact checking just to pounce on those who he thinks he knows more than ways.
What I was going to edit before he goes waaaaay out of his way to research and post emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon is:
Nigel actually only corected me about Jarusalem not being Zero Nines first album,
not that Jarusalem's first album wasn't produced by Ian Gillan, which he neither confirmed nor denied.
I did say that I owned nothing by Jarusalem, but I actually do have their first album, produced by Ian Gillan, however I was slightly confused, since I haven't listened to it or bothered pulling it out in over a decade and was snowed in for the winter so I couldn't get accross the river to check my extensive inventory
to jog my memory.
My mistake to the one who constantly avoids my questions, last one being for not the first time, about whether or not he has experienced the superior formats of SACD and DVDA?,and if so what does he think of them?,the answer is obvious, coming from an area that most likely the average citizen is still in transistor radioville. emoticon
