Not in any particular order :

Martin Barre - "Aqualung"

Mike Olfdield - "Moonlight Shadow"

Chuck Berry - "Johnn B. Good"

Robert Johnson - "Terraplane Blues" ( well the whole song is like a solo anyway )

Bradley Nowell - "Santeria"

Richie Blackmore - "Highway Star"

 So ok it´s 6 !! emoticon

If I'm going to go outside of the Blackmore world, which I find surprisingly very tough to do, I would say Gilmour in Comfortably Numb and Iommi's Lonely Is The Word.

I don´t find it tough. If something gets me going it doesn´t matter if it´s Blackers or not, even if he probably does most for me but there are many so different from Blackmore that I also enjoy them in a very different way...oh and as you mention surprise, I don´t know but me it doesn´t surprise at all after a few years of reading your posts.emoticon
