He's got a great Michael Schenker type-of thing going on at times, bluesy yet very melodic.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Christos Gatzidis)Sun, 16 Jan 2005 18:59:55 +0000 Re: More Maiden...https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p99582,from=rss#post99582https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p99582,from=rss#post99582quote:Shadowcast wrote: I have wondered what Deep Purple would have sounded like if they asked him to join the band instead of Satch or Steve. I think he would have been a better choice than Steve, actually. I feel that either he is a big contribution to the band's success, or it is a combination of him and Bruce. I have wondered what Deep Purple would have sounded like if they asked him to join the band instead of Satch or Steve. I agree with you on the SIASL solo. And that IS an interesting question! nondisclosed_email@example.com (Rezi)Fri, 14 Jan 2005 08:26:57 +0000 Re: More Maiden...https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p99578,from=rss#post99578https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p99578,from=rss#post99578Adrian is the best guitarist of the band by far. Very melodic, and can throw in old blues licks (with taste!) in the middle of a heavy guitar solo. Dave Murray's best solo is in the slow part of Powerslave. Sublime.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Rezi)Thu, 13 Jan 2005 08:44:05 +0000 Re: More Maiden...https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p99576,from=rss#post99576https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p99576,from=rss#post99576Adrian Smith is my choice.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Niko Vidgren)Tue, 11 Jan 2005 20:20:36 +0000 More Maiden...https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p99575,from=rss#post99575https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p99575,from=rss#post99575I think this has been done before but it was quite a while ago. The very simple question here is whick one of the guitarists that have recorded with Maiden do you prefer?? Personally I go for Dave Murray. He's got the best technical ability aswell as the best feel. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Gurra)Tue, 11 Jan 2005 19:54:58 +0000
