a) Sounds like fun!

b) Fair enough.

c) Again, fair enough. Though I usually like to do a different list for live albums.

d) Now for my question - how many 'desperate cases' are allowed per list? I'm thinking of them like 'exemptions' (which 15 are allowed by the IRS, if that's any sort of guideline! emoticon ) Seriously, once I can get that question answered, I can put my list together - at least reasonably coherently, that is. emoticon

a) Agreed, I enjoyed putting this together a lot more than those top ten lists.

b) We already had extreme cases: Beese uses four albums per one artists a lot and Rahul has almost only different artists. There´s room for quite a lot experimenting.

c) See, I know you have a lot live albums, but for many artists I prefer the bootlegs to the offical recordings, and not everyone I like has good live albums and not everyone I like has them at all. Then again are those cases where you just have to list the live album as part of their best works like Made In Japan, Colosseum Live or Before The Flood.

d) If you feel the best of an artist isn´t fully represented on one of his regular albums then feel free to include compilations. The Greatest Hits of The Eagles or Elvis´ Sunstudio recordings for instance are very welcome.

Yeah, I avoided live albums because I kind of have a different list for those and I find it hard to compare them to studio albums.

Didn't deliberately try to include a lot of bands, but once I started, I wanted to make sure I included as much as I could that I love listening to. Didn't want to start off by putting 4 albums each of Purple, Snake and Gillan, and then run out of room at the end, and having to leave off some of my faves!

But yeah, great fun making this list! It took a while, but you can't beat a topic that appreciates the music so much as a top 100 list! emoticon
