Not too sure about order here....

Ian Gillan
David Coverdale
Glenn Hughes
Paul Rodgers
Ronnie James Dio
Bruce Dickinson
Robert Plant
Adam Duritz
Tony Martin
Stefan Berggren

I'd say that at his peak Gillan was THE best vocalist of all time, but now I think Glenn Hughes might just nab the title of Best Vocalist In the World!

Re: Your favourite vocalists.

Don't know if I really have a top ten, and there's too many I can't name. But:

Ian Gillan, from 69-72 he was NOT of this world. Incrèdible!
And amazingly good today as well.

Freddie Mercury, who else could mix opera and rock succesfully? He sang with every atom of his body!

Glenn Hughes, did a lot of immature stuff while in purple, but also mucho great, and today arguably the best in rock.

Elvis, nobody sing like that anymore. Didn't know the meaning of studio trickery. He did all kind of music, blues, gospel, soul, rock, ballads. Clearly overrated as a phenomena, but not as a singer.

David Bowie, he sing like mean! Sometimes that is. But who else does??
