Your 5 Inductees in the Hall of Fame
If your gonna choose the five inductees this year in the HOF, who do you think should be deserving???
DEEP PURPLE
-Do I haave to explain???
BLACK SABBATH
-I'm not a big Sabbath fan, but maany metal bands today are influence by 'em.
THE CARS
-New Wave or whatever, they are really good at their genre of music, I like 'em.
THE RUNAWAYS
-The women of rock deserves a place, they could be the women's equivalent of the Yarbirds, lady guitarist like Jett and Ford came from 'em.
STEVE MILLER
-The space cowboys deserves a place.
Who's your five inductees??? Please explain, why they deserve it.

Re: Your 5 Inductees in the Hall of Fame
King Crimson
For being the most progressive and inventive prog-rock-group ever.
Colosseum
For "inventing" Jazz Rock(playing jazz rythms on rock solos)
Wishbone Ash
For introducing the twin guitar harmony sound
Focus
For being an incredibly fine band
Deep Purple
Because they won´t make it anywy, considering how underrated they seem to be in the US.

Re: Your 5 Inductees in the Hall of Fame
Black Sabbath - no Black Sabbath, no heavy metal. Pioneers.
Rush - Amazing 30 year run. Musicianship, musicianship, musicianship.
Blue Oyster Cult - Superb band, still rocking today. Highly influential and underrated.
Yes - Progressive, yet accessible. Fabulous.
Motorhead - Probably the 2nd most influential metal band of all time.

Re: Your 5 Inductees in the Hall of Fame
I'll first have to see the list of previous inductees so I can list artists/bands who _aren't_ already in there...I honestly have pretty close to no idea who's in there already. I'll check the digitaldreamdoor.com site - they have the lists for almost everything else, fer chrissakes! (Don't get me wrong - I love that site...not the style of 'forum' they have set up for each list, but the lists are good as a sort of 'reference' source for a few things)
One band I'm positive that _isn't_ in the R'n R HoF is, of course, our very own Deep Purple + any 'DP family bands'. I know, I know...that last fact alone has pretty much obliterated any existing or any future degree of respect the vast majority of Forum members might have or ever might've had for the R'n R HoF...but that's a whole 'nother discussion, isn't it?

Re: Your 5 Inductees in the Hall of Fame
I have little interest in the Hall of Fame, so who knows whether these artists are in or not.
But I like them:
Deep Purple (For influencing heavy rock)
Caravan (For being great)
Love (For being the best band to come out of America's West Coast)
Rory Gallagher (For being able to play the guitar rather well)
Wishbone Ash (Argus)
--- Sometimes I feel like I'm fading away
You're looking at me, I've got nothing to say
