Andy Fraser is Alright!

Another sad death in the rock community as FREE bassist Andy Fraser
died today aged 52 from AIDS complications.
Best known as the bassist in FREE, Fraser also released some solo work
which has recently been re-released on Gott Discs. Fraser was rumoured
to be involved in the QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS line-up although former BOC
member Danny Miranda is the bass player for the tour.
RIP

Very sad news. This kid was only 16, when he played on Free's monumental debut, Tons of Sobs, in 1968. One of the finest albums of the decade, and of the blues-rock genre. Some talent.

That's really sad, he was far too young. Much like Paul Kossoff.

I hadn't realised he was ill.

Good news..
It seems as though someone was a bit premature in reporting the death of Andy.
I just heard from Stuart Smith in LA and he has spoken to Andy, who is alive and well.
