I saw him in Austin, TX the night after Purple played in San Antonio. He is by far the best blues rock player out there. I got a copy of A NEW DAY YESTERDAY-LIVE recently, a concert from 2001. He plays great slide and runs some ferocious scales. Plays a strat Les Paul and a tele live and gets a great sound out of all of them. Usually plays as a trio and does a montage of his influences which is always cool. He went into a whole YES thing when I saw him and threw in Rice Pudding by Jeff Beck.
I first heard of him in Bloodline back in '94. He was 17 when he recorded that with a group of sibling of famous players. Robbie Krieger's son, Waylan and Berry Oakley Jr among others.

Yeah, I saw him way back when he was in Bloodline in a little bar on Long Island. He was great then too.
I've managed to keep track of his career and get all his CD's and DVD, amazing stuff.
Looking forward to both the UK dates announced so far and there could be another in Derby.

Just in case anyone was thinking of going to the shows in the London area, there's been a date and venue change.
I got this from the promoter....
Owing to circumstances beyond our control (venue problem) the North London Joe Bonamassa Show (previously at the Rayners) will take place at the Loft Club at the Green Man in Barnet on Sunday 22 May. (High Barnet - Northern Line). Doors open 8pm.
Are you still interested in keeping your prebook tickets ? Thanks again and apologies for the inconvenience.
NB: Joe Bonamassa appearence at Beards Blues in Tooting on Friday 20 May is also confirmed.
