Re: Buy any new albums lately?

Vinyl:

Deep Purple - Now What
Deep Purple - Infinite
Frank Sinatra - Songs For Swingin' Lovers
Genesis - A Trick in the Tail
Judas Priest - Screaming For Vengeance

I originally wanted the Priest's "Firepower", but my money is not enough, so I settled for the cheaper "Screaming For Vengeance". emoticon

Had to have those two live shows...

And the "Never let me Down 2018" is amazing! Seriously, I NEVER liked that album, and now I just can't stop listening to it. It almost like a brand new Bowie album to me!

As for the Serious Moonlight show, I'm a bit disappointed, as 6 or 7 songs are missing (Cat People, Stay, Star, TVC 15, Jean Genie). If you have the chance, get "Montreal 1983", available since a few weeks, great broadcast show with the full set-list.

I'll look for it for sure! SM is the first time I ever saw Bowie live so when I saw those songs left off, I was bummed; there was certainly enough time available on both discs to include them.

I agree about NLMD as well! The '18 remix is amazing. There were a few songs on it I liked, but this new version puts a whole new spin (no pun intended) on it!

That's too bad. That was the opportunity to release a remixed version with Jason's work, as well as the original version and bonuses. Certainly they must know that many fans would love to hear/ have that. This said, maybe Jason never recorded for the final result.

I really like that album, but the production hasn't stood the test of time.

James and Lars are adamant that there will NEVER be a remixed version of the album released no matter how many people protest so there's definitely some spiteful feelings going on there. Don't let the "Working Mixes" title fool you though, I think they sound better than the initial release of the album did.
