Once again, I'm amazed that someone has a go at Gillan for his voice getting worse....he's 60 for goodness' sakes, show me a singer where that doesn't happen.

...I hear ya ST,and it would be nice if people read up on some of us,before they make neglective remarks about how I paint things, they would notice it's not the case,I am enthusiastic yes,but I put stock into my work as a fan,and have for too long to take that lightly...until you know someone better,it would be a good idea to lay off the remarks of such nature.

Don't hold your breath there BigJ...he's not 60 yet,got some time to go,and things may not be so spot on for him by then, you may predict so,but I highly predict not.

And your post might suggest your in the haters camp.emoticon

Depends on how heavily he tours. It's unfair comparing Glenn and Gillan, as GH has only played a relatively small number of gigs compared to Gillan. But Glenn does have a very strict health regime these days, so I wouldn't bet on his voice deteriorating in the next 7 years.

Not really, just threw his name into the frame for fun. emoticon

Re: Rapture Live

I know about the very small amount of dates he's played compared to the likes of some, and 7 years can be a long stretch when you're over 40.

Ironically Ian Gillan stays in plenty good shape and has for the longest time, and his minor drug use has left his brain in tact as far as being the ten times better lyric writer he is imo.
And he recently stated that a singer has to keep touring to keep his voice in good shape...not sure what we're supposed to make of that, but he's the singer...whatever...

Glen is fab in his own right, don't get me wrong, but it's pretty evident to me all along that he's even a more acquired taste than Gillan himself.emoticon

About the last pragraph of your post....the word "SHOULD" is nothing but your opinion,so saying "to me" might have a better more positive feedback...and while your at it,take a better look into what he's doing these days in the drinking/smoking dept, plenty of reports on the subject for you to read here, you're off the mark a tad.
Unless you're speaking about the past of course, but then why do that,it has nothing to do with how he conducts himself in the present.

Gillan's recent drunk driving conviction seems to suggest that the present isn't as rosy as you're trying to paint it when his conduct is concerned. But in your mind it's irrelevant, isn't it?

Well,I'm sorry that as you're a newer member of these forums that I have to inform you that I've been in a drunk driving support group with my wife for years...due to a tragedy involving her sister that we both witnessed.

Supporting drunk driving...No wonder you're a fan of Gallons.

But this has nothing to do with how I feel about Gillans incident,I find it to be a very big wake up call for him,and in his book he mentioned something about knowing that authorites have gone to the length of letting his d/d go too far,and that he supposes he'll get a ticket sooner or later...
However I don't see the point in persicuting anyone for it,cause the laws for alcahol are the biggest who to blame department, and you have to understand that in order to move on with your feelings about it.

It's only the drunk driver there's to blame. The rules are there, they decide to break them. Nobody forced Gallons to drive, except his ego, and alcoholic state.

Mr Snippy dee doo dah....to quote my friend Ricky Blackmore ' A horse, a horse, gathers no moss. emoticon or something like that. Now I must loosely find a relevant answer but say it in a way that no one understands, missing the point completely though making out that I have just come up with an intelligent response. Because Gillan, not Gallons is a rock star and a very good friend of mine, we go drinking together and I show him my collections of just about everything in the world....anyway, back to the point in question.....er, i have forgotten the point but that is usual for me. emoticon

Get your hand off your organ there you silly twit.

It's 100% obvious that you have no idea on earth what you're talking about...the word "support" is defined completely the opposite,as quite a few key words you've grossly misdefined lately, your English is getting poorer by the second.

You don't seem to know the meaning of much anything anymore.(or so it eems)

And about the laws, once agin you completely misinterpret what I say...when a clerk sells to a minor,it's both of them that are to blame and when a bartender sells you a ton of drinks throughout the evening and lets you drive home, they and their establishment are in the lawsuit zone,I could go on and on about the subject of which you're sadly up your ass about.

We have a solid system in this country for these things in smaller rural areas, and should practice it everyhwere...DUII enforcement circles the bars, and if one car in the lot is spotted for more than 6 hours, the cops come in and warn the bartender not to let the owner of the car drive it off the lot,or they will find theirselves in violation, and be heavily fined,if not prosicuted depending on that happens to the driver...ticket...accident...maybe worse.

You need to find someone else to play with right now,you seem to running out of victims at an alarming rate...and your nik sicuking artner could use some direction as well,as it's becoming a joke, the way the two of you isite your patheitc mud slinging.

Google earth is such a nice program, and very helpful in looking down over property of bad traders that get their addresses given out,due to burning people.
I hope you bang your head over who did this,as it was you who hung yourself.
Would you like a picture?emoticon

Now go away and lay off...
